Apple Computer announces that they shipped a few iPods manufactured after September 12 infected with the RavMonE virus which infects Windows but not Macs. Apple’s reaction? A brief apology and then another attack on Microsoft for making Windows “not being more hardy against such viruses.”

Okay. So Apple first goes on a rampage saying how much better Mac OS is compared to Windows, makes presentations at Macworld that were mostly half brainwashing anti-Windows propaganda, then embarks on a Holy Crusade to rid all of the Corporate World for the impure use of the word “pod”, and finally blames their own mistake on the fact that more people use a rival product. Knowing hype techniques, one just has to look a layer below Apple’s propaganda and would see that they are simply taking advantage of a disadvantage of popularity.

It is definitely true that Windows systems are attacked much more frequently than their Mac counterparts. However, this is due to the fact that more hackers and virus writers attack Windows-based systems because so many people and businesses use Windows and is not because Windows is insecure in any way. My source for this unbelievable and shocking revelation? A direct conversation with a manager of an Apple Store.
