One step closer (i like that song by the way) to making this blog a bit less pointless, I am releasing desktop wallpapers. Currently, I am releasing some of my best photographs over the years. I am not sure but I might begin doing CG work as well but that will come sometime out of the distant fog of the future.

I have created a special Wallpapers album in the gallery. Subalbums categorizing different kinds of wallpaper (plants, landscapes, etc.) will be created when sufficient numbers have been reached. All wallpaper will be in the 1600 x 1200 resolution. I have created a link to the wallpaper at the menu at the top of the page so you can find them more easily. To download, click on the “View full picture” link at the bottom of each photo page and please make sure your pop-up blockers are not blocking the new window.

Apple Computer announces that they shipped a few iPods manufactured after September 12 infected with the RavMonE virus which infects Windows but not Macs. Apple’s reaction? A brief apology and then another attack on Microsoft for making Windows “not being more hardy against such viruses.”

Okay. So Apple first goes on a rampage saying how much better Mac OS is compared to Windows, makes presentations at Macworld that were mostly half brainwashing anti-Windows propaganda, then embarks on a Holy Crusade to rid all of the Corporate World for the impure use of the word “pod”, and finally blames their own mistake on the fact that more people use a rival product. Knowing hype techniques, one just has to look a layer below Apple’s propaganda and would see that they are simply taking advantage of a disadvantage of popularity.

It is definitely true that Windows systems are attacked much more frequently than their Mac counterparts. However, this is due to the fact that more hackers and virus writers attack Windows-based systems because so many people and businesses use Windows and is not because Windows is insecure in any way. My source for this unbelievable and shocking revelation? A direct conversation with a manager of an Apple Store.

First major (hopefully) site update. I have successfully (I think) installed Gallery2. As all of these bridges are, hopefully things will not begin to randomly grow arms and legs or anything. The gallery integration seems to be good so far. You can see my gallery via the Gallery link on the menu. If there are any bugs, please reply to this entry or email me.

If the tinyMCE integration worked, you should see my screenshot here:

Wow, what a revelation for those “Apocalyptic Aunts.” According to this CNN article, radioactive particles were detected in the air however analyis showed that the explosion may have been under one kiloton and was therefore small for a nuclear blast.

Nontheless, this very likely will cause a further increase in people screaming armageddon if there are not enough of them already. If not the end of the world, it is “WORLD WAR THREE IS BEGINNING!!!” which I do somewhat agree with. We have the North Korea crisis, us making more enemies and terrorists in Iraq, the conflict between Israel and Lebanon or whoever it was…

Well… I do hope that everything goes well and that if there will be a World War Three, hope it will not cause, ahem, too much damage… It would be really sad if the human race is destroyed by itself. Let us not make the same mistakes we have made in history.

Tired of using the restricting and (very) faulty services of other blog websites (I am talking to you, MySpace.com), I am, on this day, presenting to you completely with a trumpet fanfare, my official corner of cyberspace. There is not much here as of right now on possibly the most dismal Day of Creation (please do not write me off as a heretic for this), but there will be “soon”. Let us hope that Wordpress does not fail as miserably as other CMS systems I have used in the past have.

Anyway, there you are. The Day of Creation of my corner of cyberspace known as Powervortex. You do not need to celebrate any future October 14th’s but if you do, I will sincerely give you my highest respect.
